In the previous blog, I said I wasn't sure what I was more excited about - a park, cable or old people in the new ward. The old people win this- hands down. Church was extremely entertaining today. During Sacrament the bishop specifically asked to keep testimonies short ... the cute old people couldn't help but to tell their stories. It was classic! We heard about new hips, and sicknesses, war stories... oh it was fun. In Relief Society there were several shouts from the ladies for the teacher to speak louder. I even saw a lady knitting as she listened. ( I was a little jealous, it looked like she was making something really fun.)
I think all the oldies are really going to love Stewart in this ward. Stewart has a hard time getting out of conversations when he needs to be somewhere else. He got snagged for 15 minutes today talking to the cutest old man that wasn't about to let him walk away, until he told Stewart his life story. I just smiled and smiled.
Sunny you weren't kidding when you said the old people are really old. There are a few that fell asleep during Sunday School and I thought for sure they had passed on.
I seriously can't wait for the fun next week.

Hee Hee, I love it. Aaron and I were in a ward with all gerries back in Nampa. It really was entertaining. You will fit right in with your knitting. Work those needles Amba'! You probably could show them a few tricks.
I'm a little jealous. It was a great ward. I'm just glad you found a place in it. And Brother Tidwell is a talker...you just have to say Hi and bye as you walk by. It seems rude at first...but all the seasoned ward members do it.
