Bountiful Baskets

A couple of months ago my mom told me about this website called Bountiful Baskets. She told me that you could get a bunch of produce for only $15. I brushed it off because I didn't understand how it worked and if there was a location in Springville etc, etc. Well, she kind of forced me to do it this week and I'm so glad she did. It was amazing.

Here is a picture of all my loot.

11- apricots
1- bag of grapes
1- bag of green beans
1- head of green leaf lettuce
1- head of broccoli
1- stalk of celery
1- cantaloupe
11- new potatoes
12- bananas
9- apples
7 - large tomatoes
2- coconuts

That's right people! All for $15. It is my new favorite way to get produce. They purchase in bulk from farmers that sell to restaurants and grocery stores. Each week is apparently different. You don't know what will be in the basket until you get there. They base it off of what is in season and low cost. You put your order in on Mon/Tues and then pick it up on Saturday. Sadly, it is not in every state, but I lucked out with a pick up location 2 blocks from my house. I'm very excited to see what they have next week.

Here is the website if you want to check it out: Bountiful Baskets .

My mom told me about that as well. I brushed it off too thinking it wouldn't be in ID. But after seeing all the yummy, fresh produce for that price, it's worth a go and see if they do it here. I'll cross my fingers!!

The apple pie was delicious btw. Must be a genetic thing: cooking apple pie is a wilson "speciality" (five syllable pronunciation).
