Our "Cookie House"

This week we made our annual gingerbread house for family home evening.  Little Stew liked to refer to it as the "cookie house".  I had forgotten how much fun it is to decorate a gingerbread house and had to constantly remind myself it doesn't matter what it looks like, it's for the kids and let them decorate it.  It was hard, I'm Patsy's daughter.  :)  Here is the fun we had:

Evie on display with the candies.

We had to downsize our original plans to get them all to fit.

Stewart gluing the house together with awesome sugar glue.

Feeding the kids strings of sugar glue.  It's pretty fun stuff
once it starts to cool and you can manipulate it.

Stewart demonstrating his proper icing technique.

Finally it's time to decorate.

Here is the finished product.  We felt like Strawberry Shortcake should live here.
