Easter at Papa's and Grandma's House

We spent Easter weekend at my parents house and had a lot of fun.  Get ready for a bunch of pictures documenting some of the highlights.

My mom is preparing the onion and red root dye to color Easter eggs.  (It's the way my grandma dyed eggs when she was little and we've always carried on the tradition.)

Stewart and Evie preparing their eggs.

My mom's egg before it's wrapped in nylon.

Eggs wrapped ready to go in the red root pot.

The finished product.

Evie and Stew eating nasty peeps that have been
sitting around my parents house since April Fools.

Easter egg hunt with the cousins.

Sunny and Maya   :)

The kids showing off their loot.

My dad trying to get into his bedroom so he could change
his clothes from a long day at Church.  The kids apparently locked the door.
For some reason it was really making me laugh.

Stewart giving it a try.  Nothing was working.

Finally the old credit card did the trick.

Thanks for a fun time Papa and Grandma!

Oh the fun!!! Looks wonderful and I simply adore the egg decorating tradition...right out of Little Women or something sweet like that.
