At the front of the books, I like to read the section where the author thanks or dedicates the book to family or friends etc. I don't know why I particularly like that part but I think it's nice. Perhaps, I secretly hope one day Brooke will include me in that part when she publishes her book. (hint, hint) Anyway, at the front of the third book of a triology I've been reading, the author wrote this:
"To all the fans who've written me about this series.
Thanks for telling me what was right, what was wrong,
and which bits made you throw the book across the room.
(You know who you are.)"
I thought that was kind of funny. Then I finished the third book and I understood. I really wanted to throw the book across the room. I was so disappointed how the book ended. The first book I really enjoyed, the second was descent and the third book ruined the series for me. I would recommend staying away from the "Uglies" series. (Although, I might be tempted to see the movie when it comes out. I think it's still a year or so away from being released.)
THIS WEEK'S:
TOP 5
1. Going on a date night with Stewart.
2. Seeing an actual movie in the theater. I forgot how much I love seeing movies on a big screen.
3. One of the story tellers at the library. She was being especially funny. I think I laughed more than the kids.
4. Getting a new storage system for the kids toys. Rooms are staying clean! Thanks Ikea!
5. Baby Ryan finally learned to roll over and seeing his proud face every time he does it.
BOTTOM 5
1. A sassy little 5 year old who is testing new boundaries.
2. Teaching the kids about lying and now all they do is accuse each other of lying.
3. Baby Ryan has a tooth coming in. He's not handling it very well.
4. Stew must be going through a growth spurt because he wants to eat all the time and he keeps getting growing pains at night.
5. Getting sucked into dumb books and I can't help but read the rest to see how it ends.
