Carnival for the Coleman Family

Last week we saw on the news a story about a family that has two children with SMA (spinal muscular atrophy. SMA is a rare, inherited disease characterized by muscle atrophy and loss of motor function) Jonas is almost three and his little sister is 6 weeks old.  They held a carnival for the family to help raise money so they could move to bigger house all on one level that would give them more room for the equipment used to help keep Jonas alive.  Stewart couldn't stop thinking about this family and so to help support the Coleman's we went up to Salt Lake for the carnival.  We got to meet Jonas and his little sister and their parents who are amazing people.  We all had a really fun time.

Evie demonstrating how cotton candy dissolves on her tongue, right before the reptile show.

Stew enjoying a cookie.

Here is the magician at the magic show.  He fulfilled all of my expectations.

Can you spot us in the news story? (I'm wearing a blue jacket which happened to be the very same color as the volunteers t-shirts.)

At least they didn't interview you...well at least I wasn't with you to mess up any interview like I did at BYU.

Look at you!!! You're on TV!! Very fun. Seeing that little boy hurts my heart. That would be so hard to watch your child go through that.

I love that every one in your clan was wearing shades...very chic! You must have known you were going to be on TV.

Fantastic of you to go and support that. Stewart has a sweet and generous heart and I love that about him!
