I had a problem with one of my eyes this week and it hurt too much to wear contacts. So I busted out my glasses. I haven't updated my frames in like ten years. They aren't cute by any means. And the prescription in them is at least 5 years old. It was an all around bad situation.
And it didn't help when I came out into the front room and little Stew literally falls on the ground laughing and says, "You look like an old lady".
Thanks buddy.
TOP 5
1. Ryan learned how to clap. And the kids and I can't help ourselves and try to get him to clap all the time.2. 5 of the 12 books that I put on hold at the library came in this week. Wahoo!
3. Bopper and Mark were saved again on Amazing Race. I may have got a little teary.
4. My sister Livy, finding out they're having another girl! Yay, we love girls!
5. Papa and Grandma Patsy popping in right when the kids were going crazy out of boredom. And bonus they brought licorice. Oh, how I LOVE licorice.
BOTTOM 5
1. The kindergarten mom, that likes to give me advice, constantly asks me if I've had Stew tested yet to see if he can get into the preschool at the elementary school. I decided several months ago, that I wasn't going to put him in yet, since he won't start kindergarten for another two years. I've told her this three times all ready and she asked again this week. :( I'm not sure how to be any clearer. Do I need to put it in writing?
2. After picking up Evie from school , we got stuck walking home behind three boys who kept farting and we would walk right into it. Why do boys have to be so gross?
3. Stew falling out of his chair at the dinner table and landing head first on the tile. The sound his head made when it smacked the floor was awful- I got woozy. It's a good thing Stewart was home to be the first responder. And luckily no concussion.
4. Having a hard time finding overnight diapers in size 3. And we desperately need them.
5. A mysterious foul smell hitting me and Evie at the kitchen table while she was doing homework... we could not sniff out its source. And I know it sounds like it may have been a toot... but it wasn't. I would have gladly accepted a "toot" smell over this punch in the face. It lasted maybe a half hour and then it was gone. Curious.
