Flaming Gorge

We are about an hour away from Flaming Gorge and so on a whim we decided to head down there after Evie got out of school.

It's a really pretty drive.  Proof that Wyoming does eventually turn green.

Stewart had a fire going in no time.

The kids helped.  Ryan constantly brought Stewart sticks while we were there, asking if what he had was a good stick to put in the fire.

We roasted hot dogs for dinner.

And then had S'mores.  Evie perfected her browning technique.  And took orders from everyone.

They were pretty good.

Ryan jumped off every rock in the area.

 And the kiddos went exploring.

It was just a quick trip down and back.  Next time we hope to stay for a few days instead and go on the water.  :)

TOP 5

1. Evie's done with school.  Hooray!
2. Ryan thinking he is hot stuff swimming around the pool by himself in his puddle jumper floatie. He calls the floatie his "muscles".
3. Wyoming wind.  Because there usually is a breeze it keeps most of the flying bugs away.  I have yet to see flies or mosquitoes.
4.  Finding out about practically free sports camps the kids can do all summer.
5.  Stewie finally wanting to wear a tie to church.

BOTTOM 5

1. The lady that use to live in our apartment never forwarded her mail.
2. Stew deciding he no longer wants to be the obedient child.  He's been testing a lot of boundaries this week.
3.The lotion lady at the kiosk in the mall.  She is very persistent.
4. Killing my first spider here.  I sprayed him with my spider killing stuff and then paid Stew a dollar to pick up his body.  Money well spent.
5.  Getting Stew's tonsils and adenoids checked out and the doctor recommending that he have them removed but then telling me he can't do the surgery because he recently had surgery on his hand. So he referred us to a Doctor in Jackson (which is 3 hours away.)  No thank you.  So I had to start over with a new doctor from Evanston that comes to Rock Springs once a week.  We'll see if the new doctor recommends surgery or not.
