Rock Springs has amazing sports camps for kids during the summer. It only costs $30 per kid for the whole summer and each week they attend a different sport camp for 3 hours a day 4 days of the week. AND bonus, they send them home with a sack lunch. (The sack lunches are amazing too, not a boring sandwich.)
This week it was Baseball.
It's hard to see them. But Evie is in the blue hoodie and Stew is in front of her.
We also have a Arts and Craft camp and Cooking Camp once a week too that goes the whole summer.
So some days they barely have time to come home and have a break before we're off to another activity.
The only bummer, is Ryan is to little to participate. You have to be at least 5. So we get to hang out in the Civic Center Gym while we wait for kids to finish. But I think he still has a good time. And Yes, his hair is really shaggy. He has a hair cut in the next picture. :)
We try to make it up to him later by hitting different parks in the area. We affectionately call this park the Dinosaur park.
So he still is a happy camper.
On Saturday we took a little trip to Farson, WY which is about 40 minutes north and is tiny. I think they have maybe 300 people that live there. But they are famous for their big ice cream cones. So we went to see what it was all about. I should have taken a picture of the ice cream. We got baby scoops and they were humongous .
The trip home was not quite as fun.
At one point all three of them were mad about something.
Evie and Ryan with our neighbor Macy.
Stew and neighbor Lincoln. These rascals have fun all over the complex.
TOP 5
1. Kids being so busy during the day they don't have time to fight. And they go to sleep well at night.
2. Stewart getting a calling. He's now the Elder's Quorum President. It may not be his Top 5, but I'm excited for him. :)
3. Stew actually being excited for his tonsil surgery this week because of the ice cream we bought for him to eat afterwards.
4. Corn on the cob
5. Passing a group of horse back riders on our way to Farson and little Stew saying, "I just saw my first real cowboy."
BOTTOM 5
1. Forgetting to sunscreen the kids when they played outside all day. They had some sad little sunburned faces later. Boo. (It was overcast and maybe 70 degrees. I just didn't think about it. Lesson learned.)
2. Our neighbors upstairs house sitting a dog all week. They have 3 cats that didn't appreciate the dog and in the middle of the night you could hear the cats attacking.
3. Someone smoking outside the building and they must have been close to a vent, because you could smell the smoke in our laundry room.
4. Buying an avocado and then forgetting about it, and it was overripe when I finally remembered. :(
5. Babysitting a little baby for my friend and my friend telling me that he loves his baby food. He took two bites and then spit the third bite in my face.
