It all went down last Wedensday. I think we all were excited and a little nervous about it.
Here we are waiting for the nurse to come in and take vitals before the procedure. He was nervous once he saw the hospital bed.
The nurse asked him to strip down to his underwear and put on the hospital gown while she grabbed his chart. He refused. He said it looked like a "baby gown". Which I agree, it wasn't very fun looking. I tried everything to get him to put on that gown. I was reassuring and nice and then moved into bribery and when that didn't work I moved onto the scare tactic... but he is a very strong willed little guy and nothing was going to get him to put on the gown.
The nurse came back and tried her best to coax him into it. Nothing. Then his doctor came in and no success there either. Finally, when the anesthesiologist came him. He was super nice but straight forward that his shirt needed to come off so he could put cool stickers with wires on his chest, but he could keep his pants on. And Stew said, "Okay." and that was that.
Here he is after just waking up. He looks so sickly. :(
An hour later after waking up, he seemed good as new eating his ice cream.
His medicine sometimes makes him sleepy. This is his preferred place to nap. I think he likes the head support.
We also headed to Utah for Stewart's brother, Sam's wedding. Evie and Ryan love the swing at Grandmas.
Evie also got some good kitty time in while we were there. It's a shame that Stewart and Stew are allergic to cats. (But let's be honest, I kind of like that they are.)
TOP 5
1. Sam's wedding was perfect. I loved seeing all of the family.
2. Costco (I wish there was one in WY.)
3. Legos. The kids have been playing each day for hours. Sometimes it ends in tears, but usually they play well.
4. Asking some random question about Queen bees to Stewart and instead of answering he responded with this gem, "Do you know how queen bees talk to their worker bees?" "Telepath-bee." It's so bad, it makes me laugh.
5. An older lady makes homemade bread each week for Sacrament. Mmmm.
BOTTOM 5
1. Going to brush a piece of hair off of my chest, only to find a big black bug crawling around.
2. Trying to wake up Stew to take his medicine in the middle of the night. He is a sound sleeper.
3. Having to slam on our brakes so we didn't hit a deer on the freeway when we were coming home from UT. Coming home at night was NOT less stressful. There were deer everywhere.
4. Actually saying, "Ah man." When I found out that the DMV for Rock Springs was clear on the other side of town. It's only going to take me 12 minutes to get there. :) Apparently I'm spoiled having most things a block away.
5. Cleaning the house really well and then all the neighbor kids deciding that our house was the place to be at. I kept shooing them outside and they just kept coming back in.
