I think it’s really cute. And then I thought to myself … I could probably make that if I knew how to knit. (I later learned that this dress is actually crocheted.) I called my mom up and she was more than thrilled to pass on her knowledge. I decided to learn to knit first and then I’ll tackle crocheting later. Evie and I spent the day with Patsy on Saturday. And now I’m a knitting machine. This is the beginning of a scarf for Evie.

I know, I know… there is a big hole and it’s not as nice and tidy as it probably should be… but it’s my first attempt. I’m not a big fan of the yarn… it’s difficult to work with and clearly I’m just a beginner. We’ll call this scarf #1. I’m going to pick up some different yarn today and then will start on scarf #2. Once I feel confident in my knitting skills… I hope to make this baby blanket.

(Doesn't that kid look super cuddly?)Perhaps I can actually finish it and be able to use it for my little guy sometime this winter. It’s a lofty goal.
Also during the “Day O’ Fun” with Patsy… she made a cute skirt for Evie. She actually cut up an old ugly dress she found at Savers and 20 minutes later she had this stylish skirt.
The Pictures don't do it justice.
